🐾 Coyote Trapping Program

Professional Coyote Removal & Control for the Florida Panhandle

Coyotes are highly adaptable predators that have become common throughout Northwest Florida. While they play a role in local ecosystems, they can cause serious problems for homeowners, farmers, and property managers—including attacks on pets, livestock losses, and property damage.

Our Coyote Trapping Program offers a humane, effective solution to reduce coyote populations and deter future problems.

🔹 Program Overview

✅ Duration:

  • Standard trapping program runs 14 consecutive days
  • Extended programs available for persistent activity

✅ Methods:

  • Professional-grade foothold traps: Discreetly set in active travel corridors, trails, and dens
  • Snares and cable restraints: Used where appropriate and legal under Florida regulations
  • Lure & bait attractants: Designed to target coyotes specifically, reducing risk to non-target animals

✅ Daily Monitoring:

  • Traps are checked every morning, 7 days a week, to ensure humane treatment and compliance with state laws

✅ Removal & Disposal:

  • Captured coyotes are removed promptly and handled according to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) guidelines

🔹 When Is Trapping Recommended?

Coyote trapping is typically needed when:

  • Livestock or poultry losses have occurred
  • Coyotes are seen repeatedly near homes or play areas
  • Pets have been attacked or killed
  • Other deterrents (fencing, hazing) have failed
  • There is evidence of denning on the property

🔹 Safety & Compliance

  • All trapping is performed by licensed, insured wildlife control professionals
  • We use legal, humane equipment and techniques
  • Program complies with Florida wildlife regulations

🔹 What To Expect

1️⃣ Site Evaluation: We inspect your property to locate tracks, scat, dens, and travel paths.

2️⃣ Custom Trapping Plan: We select the most effective sets and tools for your situation.

3️⃣ Active Trapping: Traps are deployed and checked daily.

4️⃣ Removal & Recommendations: After trapping, we advise you on long-term prevention (fencing, habitat modification).

🔹 Program Limitations

  • No Guarantee of Complete Eradication: Coyotes are free-ranging wildlife and may move through properties after trapping ends.
  • No Refunds: Due to the unpredictable nature of wildlife, trapping fees are non-refundable once the program begins.

Protect your property and peace of mind.

Coyotes in the Florida Panhandle

Coyotes (Canis latrans) are widespread throughout Florida, including all of the Panhandle counties—from Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach to Tallahassee. Over the past few decades, they have become well-established in both rural and suburban areas.

Why Are Coyotes Here?

Coyotes naturally expanded their range eastward across North America. Key reasons they thrive in the Panhandle:

✅ Abundant food sources: Small mammals, rodents, rabbits, fruit, garbage, and pet food.

✅ Few natural predators: Unlike western states, there are no large predators to control coyote populations.

✅ Adaptability: They adjust well to farms, wooded lots, neighborhoods, and even urban fringes.

Coyote Behavior

  • Mostly nocturnal, but often active at dawn and dusk.
  • Omnivorous diet: Opportunistic feeders.
  • Territorial: Mated pairs defend territories year-round.
  • Breeding season: Late winter (January–March). Pups are born in spring.
